At the heart of Judy Ross Textiles is a deep commitment to the artisans whose craftsmanship brings every design to life. For over 20 years, Judy has worked closely with skilled makers specializing in traditional chain stitch embroidery techniques passed down through generations.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted with remarkable precision, transforming original sketches into richly textured textiles full of depth and character. These longstanding artisan partnerships preserve the integrity of handmade craftsmanship while supporting the continuation of heritage techniques in a modern design world.

In my first years creating my hand-embroidered scarves, I would live on a houseboat and travel by boat to work with the artisans.

When I started my journey in India, and produced my first hand embroidered shawls, I lived on a houseboat on Upper Dal Lake.
